Tom Brady’s reps have spoken out following rumors that the former football player is dating actress Sofia Vergara. On Thursday, People shared that Brady, 47, “never said” that the Modern Family star, who is 53, was “too old” for him following a Daily Mail report that claimed as much.
“Tom never said, nor would he ever say, anything like this. It is pure fiction,” Brady’s representative told People.

The two sparked romance rumors after they were spotted having dinner together aboard Ritz-Carlton’s new luxury yacht. Several stars were present during the ship’s two-day maiden voyage, including Kate Hudson, Naomi Campbell, and Colman Domingo.
Vergara shared her own snaps from the trip on Instagram, including one where she’s seated next to Brady.
“What a perfect weekend full of surprises! ❤️ gracias!,” she captioned the July 1 carousel.
Last week, Vergara made the case for florals at an event celebrating her beauty brand, Toty. She touched down in Madrid, Spain wearing a plunging silk mididress by AMUR.
Vergara accessorized with nude open-toe platforms, completing her look with a matching diamond pavé bangle and ring. She wore her brunette tresses in waves, while her makeup consisted of brown eyeshadow, winged eyeliner, berry blush, and a muted mauve lip.
The actress recently spoke about life as a single woman on the Today show. Sitting down with host Jenna Bush Hager, Vergara revealed what she’s looking for in her next relationship. She was married to actor Joe Manganiello from 2015 to 2024.
“I want to say the basic stuff, like health and somebody that loves me,” Vergara said of her dream man. “And somebody tall, handsome. I want somebody that has as much money as me or more, because if not, it’s a nightmare. They end up resenting you.”
