RAWALPINDI: Three more confirmed cases of Coronavirus virus from Islamabad Capital Territory and Rawalpindi District, COVID-19 have reached 1047 deaths in the last 24 hours while 101 other confirmed cases have been registered so far. 8 done. The region is 53,129.

Data collected by The News on Sunday revealed that the number of deaths from COVID-19 in the federal capital has risen to two more from ICT, while 46 new patients are being examined by ICT. The number of cases has risen to 40,713, including 38,637 so far. On Sunday, the number of active cases of the disease in the federal capital was 1,611.

Significantly, the number of patients tested for ICT has been in double digits for the last two days and according to District Health Officer ICT Dr Muhammad Zaeem Zia, the weekly positivity recorded by ICT is 1.75. ۔ He said that the decline in the weekly positive trend during the second wave of outbreaks, increasing from 6.83% to 1.75% is a great achievement.

He said the decline in the number of cases was mainly due to the efforts of health department teams and other stakeholders, but that much needed to be done to overcome the situation.

Meanwhile, another patient from Rawalpindi district died of COVID-19, bringing the death toll from the district to 582 in the last 24 hours. In the last 24 hours, only 17 new patients from Rawalpindi district tested positive, bringing the number to 12,416. 11,488 patients have recovered so far. As many as 346 active cases of the disease were reported from the district on Sunday.

According to the District Health Department, Rawalpindi, 35 certified patients are being treated at health facilities in the district, while 311 certified patients have been evicted from their homes.
