He was among about 75 million Americans who voted for Donald Trump and refused to recognize Joe Biden’s presidential victory.

AFP spoke to some of Trump’s supporters about what they thought Trump would do next and what he thought life would be like under the new Democratic administration.

“When Trump was inaugurated, I was very happy,” said Guy Maxon, a yoga teacher and multi-religious Catholic from Hackory, North Carolina. “I went to two of Trump’s rallies. They were amazing, progressive, positive experiences,” he added.

Maxison denied that Trump supporters attacked the US capital two weeks ago, even though it was captured on countless cameras.

“It was all set up to shut them down. They tried their best to get rid of him from the beginning. Eventually they found a way to kill him.”

“I’m terrified, angry, absolutely amazed that this could happen in the United States,” he said. She usually has an opening eye but has decided not to participate this year.

“I believe it’s totally unfair, I’m sure they cheated. Biden got 80 million votes,” Maxon said, referring to baseless allegations of voter fraud.

Maxison thinks Trump won’t go. “I hope a new party can be started – the Patriot Party. That would be the best thing, the end of the two-party system.”

Doug McLenko, a Republican from Bradford County, Pennsylvania, fears the Democratic Party may try to end the electoral college system. “Rural America will have no voice, only in large metropolitan areas,” he said.

“This country has never been so divided,” McClellan added, adding that he raises issues with some left-wingers by portraying Trump supporters as neo-Nazis.

“You call someone a Nazi. I don’t think there’s a worse sentence,” McClenko said.

“I think the impeachment is completely unconstitutional. They seem to forget that 75 million people voted for it,” he added, adding that Trumpism remains to be seen. “National populism is more than Donald Trump and it’s not going anywhere.”

“I think Biden will put an end to everything Trump has done,” said Sharon McGattrick, a health insurance worker from Clarewater, Florida.

“I was hoping that we would continue this immigration situation, against the wall that they are now saying they are not going.” We no longer have to choose these elections, so that there is freedom of speech. They are also trying to remove the guns.

McGattrick believes that the epidemic of Covid 19 caused China to inflict financial losses on the United States.

“There is no middle class anymore. You are either rich or you are poor. I make $ 31,000 a year. If you look at the statistics, it means I am poor.

“Maybe I shouldn’t be so proud and think he won’t do anything for our country, but I don’t trust him as much as I do with Trump.”
