The Punjab government has directed government and private offices to ensure that 50 staff work from home.
A notification issued by the Punjab Health Department said that the order was in place and was effective immediately till January 31, 2020.
The decision on behalf of the Punjab government has been announced by Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood that educational institutions across the country will remain closed till January 11.
After meeting the education ministers of the four provinces, the minister decided that the students would take classes from home by December 24. They will be on winter break from December 24 to January 10.

“All the ministers have agreed to close all educational institutions, including schools, colleges, universities and tuition centers. However, online classes will continue from November 26 to December 24, after which the winter The break will begin. Schools will reopen on January 11., 2021, “Shafqat Mahmood told a news conference.
Mahmood had said that children’s health and safety was the government’s top priority, adding that the December exams would be postponed in addition to some professional exams.
During the meeting, it was decided that micro-decisions regarding examinations and other matters would be taken by the concerned provinces.
