ISLAMABAD: As per the instructions of Prime Minister Imran Khan, the killings of Qadianis in Peshawar and Nankana Sahib will be investigated and justice will be done.
This was promised by the Prime Minister’s Special Representative for Religious Harmony and Chairman Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC) Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi on Saturday.
In a statement, he said the killing of members of the Qadiani community was reprehensible. He added, “All Islamic scholars unanimously agree that according to the Qur’an, killing an individual is like killing all of humanity.”
Ashrafi said that if someone commits a crime, it is the responsibility of the government and the court to punish the person. He added that no individual, group or organization has a mandate to punish anyone for their sins or crimes.
