LAHORE: Pakistan all-rounder Sohail Tanveer is optimistic about playing in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) after his second Code 19 Test on Saturday.
Talking to media, the T20 expert said that he hopes that the following test will be negative.
Tanveer, 35, had a positive experience on Friday after arriving in Sri Lanka to play in his domestic T20 tournament. After this news, the star all-rounder went into solitude for 10 days.
The Rawalpindi-born cricketer has been signed by Candy Tuskers for the first edition of the league. Their return will be determined by the medical authorities in charge.
Tanveer said he was shocked to see his test result positive because there were no symptoms.
The T20 tournament will start on November 26.
However, franchise head coach Hashan Tillakaratne said the team was looking for a possible alternative after Tanveer’s positive experience.
