Support for Ninjala appears to be over

GungHo has been pumping out support for Ninjala for a few years now, but it looks like support has come to an end.

Season 21 just launched this week. According to GungHo, it will “last indefinitely.” The decision was made so that the company can “provide all Ninjala users with an enjoyable experience and stable service over the long term”.

While that may be the case, it also means there won’t be any additional seasons. Season 21 is said to end on December 31, 2037, though it’s unclear if the servers will be taken offline before then. That’s it for new content, but players can still look forward to events such as WNA Tours.

Ninjala, a free-to-play multiplayer action video game, originally launched in 2020 and has only been available on Nintendo Switch. The game has received various updates, collaborations, and more. GungHo has even produced well over 100 episodes of an anime based on the game.

If you’ve had a chance to play Ninjala, what did you think of it? Let us know in the comments.
