ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan may appoint former Federal Minister of Pakistan and eminent banker Shaukat Tareen as his Assistant for Finance and Revenue. Geo News Sources have been reported.
Tareen – who has attended key meetings of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s finance and economic team, has agreed to accept the role but has asked for “15-20 days” to join.
Although progress is still being made, the prime minister himself will make the final decision on the appointment of the former finance minister.
Sources further said that it has been suggested that Tareen should also contest the Senate elections.
