Former Federal Board of Revenue Chairperson Shabbir Zaidi seems confused as to why Pakistan is using the Rs 5,000 note.

He compared in a Twitter post on Tuesday the notes of Pakistan’s maximum difference with countries like India and Bangladesh.

The former FBR chairperson believes that the Rs 5,000 note encourages a cash economy. He says the use of smaller units is more transparent and becomes documented.

Zaidi had earlier suggested that The government should go for sabotage From 5000 notes from July 2021

“Rs 5,000 note. Demonstrate from July 1, 2021. Announce two months ago,” Zaidi wrote on Twitter.
