ISLAMABAD: The government plans to convene a meeting of the National Assembly and Senate on Friday (January 22).
Dr. Babar Awan, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs, said that the National Assembly and Senate sessions have been convened after consultation with Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Dr. Awan said that the Senate session would begin at 10 am and the National Assembly session at 10:30 am.
He said that written instructions were also sought from the National Command and Operations Center before convening the sessions on the same day.
Meanwhile, Dr Awan said the Pakistan Democratic Alliance had been rejected on the streets and should now “return” to the House.
He said that the PDM’s statement of protest politics on the streets “late” failed in front of the entire nation.
Dr. Awan said, “Instead of anarchy, play your role in the House for practical and public service.
