Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra’s display size leaks again

Over the past few days we’ve been getting a bunch of rumored details regarding Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra ahead of its supposed release in January, and today is no different.

If you’ve been wondering what to expect from Samsung’s next flagship smartphone in terms of screen size, the answer is allegedly – a very tiny improvement. The S26 Ultra is said to boast a 6.89″ panel, which the company will most likely round up to 6.9″ in its marketing materials.

And guess what the Galaxy S25 Ultra‘s screen size is? Allegedly 6.86″ exactly, but Samsung is rounding that up to the exact same 6.9″. Now, while there will only be the tiniest upgrade to the screen’s size, Samsung will reportedly pack the panel with “surprises”, according to the leaker that goes by Ice Universe. What those will be, unfortunately wasn’t detailed, but we should apparently expect “some of Samsung’s core display technologies” to be used, whatever that means.

We’d speculate by saying that while the size will remain pretty much the same, the S26 Ultra’s panel will be better than the one in its predecessor in other ways. On the other hand, we recently heard that the 5x telephoto camera will stay unchanged, while the 3x telephoto camera will actually be a downgrade, believe it or not. The main camera is using the same sensor but widening the aperture to f/1.4, allowing 47% more light to reach the sensor.
