ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Navy’s overseas naval vessel Zulfiqar (with naval helicopter) visited the Jordanian port of Aqaba.
Upon arrival, the ship was retrieved by the Pakistani Defense Attach میں in Amman and the Royal Jordanian Navy Liaison Officer. During his stay at the port, PNS Zulfiqar’s Commanding Officer met with senior and government officials of the Jordanian Navy, including Commander Royal Jordanian Navy Force, Col. Hisham Al-Jarrah. Issues of mutual interest were discussed during the talks and the role of Pakistan Navy in regional peace and maritime security was also highlighted. In addition, Indian atrocities in illegally occupied Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (LIOJ and K) were highlighted. The Commanding Officer conveyed the good wishes of Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi, Chief of Naval Staff, to the people of Jordan in general and the RJNF in particular.
He also thanked the RJNF for its wholehearted support in making the ship’s stay comfortable. During his stay in Aqaba, Commander Royal Jordanian Navy also visited PNS Zulfiqar. After leaving Aqaba Port for Pakistan, the Pakistan Navy ship practiced passing through RJNF’s Fast Attack Craft Al-Hassan (P102) and two patrol crafts. PNS Zulfiqar’s visit is a confirmation of the PN-RNJF partnership and will promote fraternal relations between Pakistan and Jordan.
