Prime Minister Imran Khan on Tuesday shared beautiful photos of winter skiing in Deosai to promote tourism in the country.
The Divinity Plateau is considered to be the second highest plateau in the world.
It is located at an average elevation of 4,114 meters (13,497 feet) above sea level in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The Prime Minister posted on Twitter with pictures, with the caption: “Winter tourism and exploring the feasibility of ski resorts is the first winter ski trip in the Deosai plains.”
Prime Minister Imran expressed keen interest in reviving Pakistan’s tourism industry as he repeatedly called for harnessing the untapped potential of the sector.
According to him, tourism can be the biggest source of employment in Pakistan.
