Peshawar: Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AQM) organized a three-day online conference titled “Recent Trends in Social Sciences, Harmony and Family Life”.
The conference was jointly organized by the Department of Economics and International Relations. The conference provided a platform for experts, scholars, professionals, social scientists, and government representatives to discuss key social issues influencing and influencing recent advances in the social sciences.
The conference also discussed recent trends in social studies and its impact on national and foreign policy. Scholars offer different perspectives on key issues affecting and promoting social cohesion in family, sectarian, social, national and international relations.
Scholars have developed theoretical links between social cohesion and its impact on family life, children’s social, structure and agency, and overall social development. The presenters discussed innovative methods that can be used to create greater harmony in family and communal life.
Vice Chancellor Aqoom Prof. Dr. Zahoorul Haq inaugurated the conference. A total of 85 research papers were presented at the event by international and national academics, scholars, government officials, and professionals.
Most of the presenters discussed the dimensions of coherence and its relationship in the context of foreign policy, international relations, and the social sector. Professors of various social sciences including Dr. Sami from foreign universities, Dougs University, Prof. Sirkan Dalak, Kastamono University. Turkey, Dr. Erhan Tekum, Associate Professor in Sociology at Nekmetin Erbakan University, Dr. Mehmet Ali, Associate Professor in Sociology, MO? Alperslan University, Gezeltype, MU? , Turkey, Dr. Conrad Ganesch, Associate Professor, College of Media and Mass Communication, American University in Dubai, and Dr. Yerdagel K. Ednali, Associate Professor, Department of Philosophy, Selkuk University, Turkey, participated as the keynote speaker.
The keynote speakers and chair of the session were Prof. Dr. Zahoorul Haq, Prof. Dr. Johar Ali, Vice Chancellor of Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak, Prof. Dr. Zahid Ali Marwat, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences of OCOM, Prof. Dr. Ijaz Khan. Professor and Chairman, Department of International Relations, University of Peshawar.
The keynote speakers appreciated the efforts of the Organizing Committee, Departments and Oqam in organizing the first International Conference on Recent Trends in Social Sciences in Pakistan.
