Obituary | Kalesa Leilani Schmid of Idaho Falls, Idaho

Kalesa Leilani Millet Schmid, age 36, quietly left her earthly home and returned to her heavenly home on a sunny calm cool fall day, at home on Friday, December 6, 2024, with medical conditions associated with Myotonic Dystrophy, but no anticipated departure itinerary but to meet her angel mother and beloved sister.

Kalesa loved parties, when she was born Thursday, October 13, 1988 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, it was the birthday of her older brother, she didn’t want to miss an opportunity to make a grand  entrance as the daughter of Clark B and Dianne E Millet of Rigby, Idaho. She was the youngest of eight children.

Kalesa attended schools in Rigby Idaho and graduated from Rigby High School in 2007.  She married Edward Joseph Schmid from Willamina Oregon on Saturday, May 2, 2015 in the Rexburg Idaho Temple, and gained an instant 6 year old daughter Eliana Mae, whom she loved dearly.  Kalesa strived diligently to be a good mother.

They lived in Oregon for 4 years then moved to Rigby, Idaho in June of 2019 and then they made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho.

Kalesa had her share of health issues, but loved learning and doing, and loved the feeling of accomplishment, especially in her last job with a kind supervisor, who raved about how hard-working she was.  She was happy to be working.

Kalesa left behind her loving husband Edward, treasured daughter Eliana, devoted father Clark Millet, and her pal and beloved brother, Jordan Millet. Her Half-siblings: Christa (Greg) Knudson, Brent (Christy) Millet, Larry (Sarah) Millet, Shannon (Artur) da Rosa, and Taron (Andrea Packer) Millet.

Kalesa left this life, to go across the great divide and be reunited with her mother Dianne Millet (2023), her sister Breony Makubuya (2024) and her grandparents Lorin and Ruth Millet as well as Ted and Marjorie Halliday.
