ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif met here in London on Thursday. Geo News Sources have been reported.
Abbasi arrived in London last night after visiting the United States, where he met his ailing sister. He will stay in the city for at least two days before returning to Pakistan on January 12.
The PML-N leader left for the United States on December 24 to meet his sister after the PTI government allowed her to go abroad.
Sources said that in a meeting with former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, who is in London for medical treatment, Abbasi conveyed the message of PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif to his elder brother, sources said.
He added that the two were likely to have another meeting in which they would discuss issues related to the opposition’s anti-government campaign under the banner of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM). The coalition includes 11 parties aimed at overthrowing Prime Minister Imran Khan’s government.
Sources said that Abbasi would also discuss the strategy for the next Senate session of PML-N in his next meeting with Nawaz Sharif.
