CHOOSE YOUR ABILITY
To deal with the maze’s many threats, you have a unique set of abilities that, for example, can improve your defense, allow you to jump higher, or increase your speed. You start with one ability slot at a time, with the chance of unlocking more throughout the game. Abilities must also be earned; you don’t start with any but by playing the maze, you collect ‘cubits’ which allow you to both unlock and upgrade abilities.
Pick abilities based on your preferred playstyle! Speed helps you dive past a stomping zombie whereas X-Ray lets you see secret passageways and loot, so think carefully about your choice and build a strategy that works for you! And if style is part of your strategy, you can also pick up the cosmetic Power Shell Pet – a sleek nautilus companion available via purchase in-game once you have VIP status. It won’t aid you in battle, but it will keep you company on your spelunking adventures!
