Karachi (Staff Reporter) Pakistan head coach Misbah-ul-Haq on Sunday said that he is not worried about what is being said to the team about his future role.
“We always play our cricket under pressure,” he said. It doesn’t matter what people say and there is no guarantee or guarantee. “The most important thing is how you respond to your work,” he told reporters ahead of the Test series against South Africa on Tuesday.
When asked about his performance as the team’s coach and when he agreed that he was not completely satisfied with his performance, the head coach said that he was likely to be removed from his post. Not bothered by ideas.
“There is always pressure on anyone, be it a coach or a player, but you have to deal with it. The results are not in your power, so you don’t think about it much. What is in your power is what you have. That’s your strategy and implementation. So, you have to be perfect [in those areas]The head coach said.
Replying to a question, Misbah said that the presence of Thaqleen Mushtaq and Mohammad Yousuf was beneficial for the overall strength of the players and the team. He rejected the suggestion that having too many coaches on the field could create problems for the players.
‘Pakistan has a good opportunity to improve records’
He said he felt Pakistan had a good chance to improve its record against South Africa.
Misbah said that before that South Africa had a very strong aspect with top quality batsmen which was very good against spin bowlers and supported such a strong bowling line.
The Pakistan coach thinks that this time it may not be the case and Pakistan will benefit as most of the players are playing in a home ground situation.
In the past, South Africa was a significant power. They had good spinners and then batsmen who could play well against spin attack but this is a little different from South Africa and we are looking forward to improving our record against them. We will try to take advantage of their weaknesses. “Now is the time for us to play good cricket against them,” Misbah said.
The home team is always on the sidelines because of the domestic situation. We also have the lead because our players are playing domestic cricket here in Karachi. So, they know how things are going. So, we have a good chance to do well against South Africa and win the series.
The former captain said that Pakistan has practiced well according to the conditions of the game and special exercises were conducted to improve the quality of fielding. He said that the team is confident before the Test series.
‘No comparison between NZ and SA’
He said that the results of Pakistan’s series in New Zealand would not affect Pakistan’s preparations for the series against South Africa as there was no comparison.
“We used to play in Pakistan under different conditions compared to New Zealand scenarios,” he said. Your strategy here will be different from the New Zealand style. So we will forget what happened in New Zealand and plan according to the conditions and needs of the game in Pakistan. Misbah said.
‘Babar should have free hand’
He also supported Babar as the captain and said that the captain should be empowered and when he is on the field he should have the freedom to carry out his plans as per his understanding.
You learn things when you start doing them. Babar is learning as well as the captain. “They are discussing everything and putting his plans into practice so that we can prepare our minds for the day of the match,” Misbah said.
“Babar is an intelligent cricketer and he understands the game. He should be given a free hand to carry out his plans. […] Misbah added that this is how he will learn captaincy.
