Miley Cyrus’s Soap Manicure Lets 4-Carat Diamond Engagement Ring Shine

Miley Cyrus hard-launched her engagement with her musician beau Maxx Morando on the red carpet on Monday night, thanks to the multi-watt east-west diamond that could be seen sparkling on her left hand in photos. While packing on the PDA with her fiancé at the December 1 global premiere of Avatar: Fire and Ash, Cyrus ensured her brilliant four-carat diamond engagement ring stole the show with a surprising clean girl-coded manicure.

While the former Disney star has embraced maximalist ‘80s-coded style with a serving of rock and roll over the past year, she took notes from Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez by choosing understated “soap nails” to avoid competing with her ring’s debut. Cyrus’s oval nails were painted a pinkish-nude hue with a slight milkiness that’s a signature of the trendy manicure style. The “Flowers” singer, who posed with her hand strategically placed on Morando’s chest, showed off her bespoke Jacquie Aiche design—an east-west, 14k yellow gold cushion-cut ring that looks to be approximately four carats, Kegan Fisher, co-founder of Frank Darling, previously told InStyle.

Cyrus contrasted her minimalist manicure with a red carpet look that was anything but understated. The star glittered in a strapless sweetheart black Gucci gown that was covered in sparkling sequins as she posed with her arms around her husband-to-be. Cyrus’s statuesque gown also featured a divisive drop waist design through the bodycon bodice, flaring out at her upper thighs into a trailing skirt with layers of black tulle material and a large coquette-coded bow. 

A diamond tennis necklace and elegant diamond drop earrings added some extra sparkle to the ensemble. Miley leaned into a grungy aesthetic for her beauty look, accentuating her eyes with smoky gray eyeshadow and black waterline eyeliner. She styled her blonde-highlighted hair in effortlessly beachy side-parted waves with natural volume and texture. Meanwhile, Morando subtly coordinated with his future wife with a dark brown curly mullet, a black tuxedo, and a white dress shirt.
