Michael Anthony is considering his relationship with the late Eddie Van Hallen.
While joining Talkin Rock with Melkin Down Podcast Last week, former 66-year-old Van Helen Bassist openly admitted to working with the famous rocker that he wished he had a chance to reconcile with Van Hallen before his death.
When asked about his relationship with Van Helen over the past few years, Anthony said, “We didn’t really say anything and unfortunately we didn’t get a chance. That’s how I was disturbed. That’s because we had some issues that were never resolved. “
He added, “But, I mean, what can you do? It was on the verge of a covenant, which I’m really sorry it never happened.” “But life, the show continues.”
Van Hallen Bassist had previously joined the rock band back in 1974, having been replaced in 2006 by Van Helen’s son Wolf van Hallen.

In October, it was revealed that Van Hallen was 65 years old after battling cancer, and shortly thereafter, Anthony exchanged three shots performed on both stages.

Speaking about the podcast, Anthony also noted that Van Helen kept her illness private and did not reveal how sick she really was.
“Eddie was very private about how sick he was,” Anthony explained. “We all knew he was sick, but it was a real shock for all of us.”

And although Anthony never had a chance to improve his relationship with Van Helen, Sammy Hager – the band’s other lead singer – noted in a statement to Howard Stern shortly after Van Hallen’s death. He and Rocker have reconciled.
Although Hager, 73, was not relieved to be at the airport to discuss the couple’s friendship, he wrote a letter about it after the 66-year-old Stern.
