IDAHO FALLS – A major fundraising event for a local boxing club is happening this weekend in Idaho Falls.
Razor’s Edge Boxing Club, a nonprofit formed in 2006 for at-risk youth, is hosting its seventh annual Rumble (formerly known as Rumble in the Jungle) on Saturday at the Bonneville County 4-H Complex at 1542 East 73rd South.

This non-ranking USA Boxing show will feature 28 fights. The headline bout is a match between 20-year-old club member Saul Juarez of Victor and his opponent, Corbin War, from Utah.
Head Coach Holly Gregson tells EastIdahoNews.com she’s excited to see Juarez square off in a rematch with an opponent he defeated in a regional tournament earlier this year.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing the rematch. I know that both are eager to meet up again in the ring,” Gregson says. “Saul has been working hard for this. We’re looking forward to getting him back in there.”
EastIdahoNews.com spoke with Juarez shortly after his regional tournament victory in April. He described his opponent as a tough fighter.

In a follow-up conversation on Thursday, Juarez shared how he’s feeling going into Saturday’s rematch.
“It’s going to be fireworks, for sure. Last time we had a good fight. This time, it’s going to be an even better one to see who’s the best,” Juarez said.
Juarez says he’s at a slight disadvantage ahead of Saturday’s event. He recently injured his shoulder while working his masonry and tile job.
Despite the injury, Juarez says he’s kept up with training to the best of his ability. He’s on the mend now and is feeling confident ahead of Rumble. He’s looking forward to “putting on a show” for spectators.
Gregson is proud of the other 14 club members who will participate this weekend. Among them is 11-year-old Ruger Melgaard making his debut.
Sixteen-year-old Julian Hernandez, who’s competed in 44 fights since joining Razor’s Edge in 2017, will fight as well.

“We have several kids that will be having their first-time fight … clear up to some of our longest-standing veterans,” Gregson says.
The gates open at 3 p.m. and the first fight will get underway at 4 p.m. Admission is $20 for adults and $15 for students. Kids under 5 are free. Multiple vendors will be there selling concessions.
Gregson is grateful to all the sponsors who have supported them this year. She invites the community to attend Saturday’s show.
“It’s definitely been a team effort — a combination of athletes, parents, friends and supporters,” says Gregson. “We appreciate everybody who’s chipped in to help. How excited we are to host the event again this year.”
