LAHORE: District government police teams and Pakistan Army and Rangers personnel carried out flag marches in different parts of the city on Monday, resulting in a serious epidemic of corona.
The Fleet March was led by CCPO Additional IG Ghulam Mehmood Dogar while Commissioner Lahore Captain (retd) Muhammad Usman, DIG Operations Sajid Kayani, CTO Lahore Syed Hamad Abid and other senior officers of Army and Rangers Attended the march.
Troops from Pakistan Army, Rangers, Dolphin Squad, Elite Force, Traffic Police, Police Response Unit and Ababil Force were part of the flag march. The police march started from the Capital City Police Headquarters and passed through various important streets and markets and business centers of the city including Cordoba Chowk, Choborji, Samanabad, Moon Market, Karim Block Market, Wahdat Road, Ichhra Orphanage Market. And ended up back at the CCPO office. .
The CCPO said the flag march was aimed at creating a sense of security among citizens and raising awareness about the dangers of the spread of the corona virus.
Joint teams of police, district government, Pakistan Army and Rangers opened and closed the bazaars after 6 pm in violation of the scheduled closing hours.
Police and district government teams also arrested people wearing masks. Ghulam Mehmood Dogar directed the concerned police officers and officials to remain on high alert and increase effective patrols to ensure implementation of Corona SOPs.
