KARACHI: A housemaid arrested on charges of drug trafficking and murder of her employee in Sachal, Karachi, managed to escape from police custody on Wednesday while being transferred to jail.
Gizri police arrested him along with two other female suspects.
An FIR has been registered against Shamim Rani.
According to police, the three women, who accused their employers of killing them after drugs, were produced in Malir court where they were remanded in police custody.
Police said the women were being taken to a civil hospital for corona virus tests when one of them escaped near MA Jinnah Road.
An FIR has been registered in Iram Bagh police station.
Investigating officer Sub-Inspector Sardar Imrani, Ali Akbar and Constable Maryam have also been named in the FIR.
