A 10-member larger bench has been constituted on the direction of Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed to hear the petition seeking review of the presidential reference filed against Justice Qazi Fai Issa. Geo News Reported on Tuesday.
Earlier, a six-member bench headed by Justice Umar Ata Bandial had referred the matter to Chief Justice Gulzar Ahmed, after which the Chief Justice constituted a bench to hear the case.
Justice Umar Ata Bandial will preside over a 10-member bench, which will also include the judge who wrote the dissenting note in the presidential reference against Judge Isa.
Sources said that Justice Mansoor Ali Shah, Justice Yahya Afridi and Justice Maqbool Baqir are part of the bench while Justice Aminuddin Khan has been included in the bench due to the retirement of Justice Faisal Arab. The case is set to be heard on March 1.
