A British judge has rejected an appeal by Hollywood actor Johnny Depp in his ‘Better Wife’ case.
A British High Court judge dismissed it Pirates of the Caribbean It also allowed an appeal in the illegal proceedings against the Star and ordered the Sun Group Publisher’s New Group Newspaper (NGN) to make an initial payment.
The actor has been instructed to pay a legal fee of approximately 6 630,000 to the publisher of the paper after he lost his defamation suit earlier this month.
Depp sued NGN over an article published in his article calling him a “better wife” and claiming he had physically abused his ex-wife, Amber Hard. ۔
Justice Nicole had proved the NGN’s claims to be true and ruled against the actor.
In Wednesday’s ruling, which rejected Nicole’s appeal, Nicole said: “I do not consider it necessary to comment on such fabrications.”
Depp now has until December 7 to apply directly to the Court of Appeals to overturn his decision.
