SHELLEY – A rollover crash on Interstate 15 near Shelley is impacting traffic Saturday afternoon.
It happened around 1:30 p.m., according to Idaho State Police Lt. Marvin Crain. Exactly what happened is unclear, but Crain tells EastIdahoNews.com it involved only one vehicle. It rolled on the highway near Dad’s Truck Stop between Idaho Falls and Shelley.
Two people were in the vehicle at the time. Crain isn’t sure about their condition, but a post from ISP on X indicates it was a fatal crash.

Multiple ambulances are on scene, based on pictures sent to us by witnesses.
Both lanes of I-15 are closed as of 2:15 p.m., causing traffic delays. The Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office is assisting ISP with the response.
“Southbound I-15 is closed from Exit 116 at Sunnyside Road to Exit 113 at 66th South,” Sgt. Bryan Lovell with the sheriff’s office wrote in an email to EastIdahoNews.com at 1:47 p.m.
Crain is asking the public to avoid the area until the scene is cleared.
EastIdahoNews.com will provide updates as we receive them.
