LAHORE: In the last 24 hours, 16 patients have died in Punjab and Islamabad Capital Territory as a result of Covid 19.
According to a report released by the Department of Primary and Secondary Health Care (P&SHD) on Saturday, the death toll in Punjab has risen to 4,537, while the incidence of coronavirus in the province has been confirmed at 152,925. ۔
According to a spokesman for the Corona Monitoring Room at the Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, 18,735 tests have been performed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of tests in the province to 2,791,548.
Following the deaths of 4,537 people and the recovery of a total of 136,987 patients, so far, including 342 recoveries in the last 24 hours, 11,401 active cases remain, which are isolated in homes or various public and private. They are being treated in hospitals.
Muhammad Qasim added from Islamabad: Corona virus disease, COVID-19 has claimed the death of two more people from Islamabad Capital Territory while no death has been reported from Rawalpindi district due to this disease during last 24 hours. ۔
Figures compiled by The News on Saturday show that 108 more patients tested positive for the disease in the Twin Cities, bringing the number to 53,000, of whom 1,044 are already. They have lost their lives.
Out of the total 53,028 patients reported so far from ICT and Rawalpindi, 50,022 have undergone full treatment while a total of 1,962 active cases of the disease have been reported from the region on Saturday.
In the last 24 hours of ICT, 81 new patients have been positively tested for Covid 19, bringing the number to 40,629, of whom 38,534 have recovered and 463 have lost their lives. As of Saturday, there were 1,632 active cases of the disease in the federal capital.
From Rawalpindi district, 27 new patients have been positively tested in COVID-19, bringing the number to 12,399, of whom 11,488 have been discharged after treatment, according to the district health department. On Saturday, the number of active cases of Kovid 19 belonging to Rawalpindi was 330.
On Saturday, the number of patients admitted to health facilities in the district was 31, while 299 confirmed patients with the disease were isolated from home.
