A weather disaster could unfold across Jamaica, southern Haiti and Cuba into the early week, as slow-moving Hurricane Melissa is forecast to rapidly intensify into a major hurricane by Sunday.
Melissa, which strengthened into a hurricane on Saturday, is forecast to become a Category 5 hurricane with 160 mph winds on Monday, according to the National Hurricane Center.
