Hilary Duff says the death of the ‘Lizzie McGuire’ reboot was ‘a big disappointment’

Hillary Duff wanted to republish her acting role Lizzie McGuire As much as the fans wanted.

“It was a huge disappointment, obviously,” Duff said Wednesday. Good morning usa. “I will be forever grateful for the two episodes we shot. It was really a special two weeks of my life.”

Duff explained in December that the planned revival of the Disney show, in which he starred as a teenager, would not go ahead.

The statement came after the network targeted showrunner Terry Minsky, the creator of the original Disney Channel.

Still, Duff offered his thoughts on where his role would be today, at the age of 30.

“I think she’s weird, I think she’ll struggle with confidence, but I think at the end of the day, she’s getting to her destination,” Duff said. “That’s the decent thing to do, and it should end there. It doesn’t have all the answers right now, but it’s on the right track.”

Duff also talked about shooting the last season of his latest series, small, COVID-19 among infectious diseases.

“Sometimes it was definitely a challenge,” he said. “A couple here were intimidated where we had to quarantine and luckily, not too many people got sick and no one got seriously ill.”

Still, Duff has a lot of plans. She has written a children’s book for her two-year-old daughter Banks, which is due out on March 23. She is also expecting her third child with husband Matthew Coma. She shares an 8-year-old son, Luca, with her ex-husband Mike Camry.
