Google today reached out to Pixel Superfans in the UK about a “pre-launch event” this June for the Pixel 10 series and other “upcoming devices.” It does not suggest that Made by Google 2025 is happening any earlier this year.
The email invite was shared on Reddit quickly after it was sent out this morning. “Pixel Penthouse” is an “exclusive pre-launch event” that Google is hosting for its “biggest retail and press partners” in the UK to offer a “sneak preview of our upcoming devices pre-release.”
The cover image just shows a Pixel phone, Tablet, Watch, and Buds. That’s presumably old stock imagery, but the devices are expected to look the same this year.
Google this year is inviting “25 lucky Superfans” to attend this 90-minute event in London on June 27 where they’ll presumably see the Pixel 10 series and Pixel Watch 4. They will get “hands on with pre-release Pixel devices and features,” as well as Q&A with Google employees.
Showing upcoming hardware to retail and carrier partners is a pretty straightforward practice for manufacturers. Assuming Made by Google is mid-August again, this event is roughly taking place six weeks before the public launch. The hardware is certainly finalized by that point, though the software is usually still being refined until the last possible moment.
Pixel Superfans have to answer four questions (available below) and fill out a form to be considered. They will presumably be signing a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
- What is your favourite Pixel feature and why?
- What does being a Pixel Superfan mean to you?
- When purchasing a Pixel what information or offers do you look for?
- When you receive your new Pixel, is there anything more that we could provide that would create more of a special moment when transferring to your new Pixel?
