The 2021 edition of the Glastonbury Festival has been canceled due to the ongoing epidemic.
In a joint statement on Thursday, organizers said 2021 would be “another milestone” for the iconic festival.
“Unfortunately, we have to announce that this year will not be the Glastonbury Festival, and it will be another applicable year for us,” the organizers said. Despite our efforts to relocate to Heaven and Earth, it has become clear that we will not be able to make this year’s festival a success. We are very sorry to disappoint you all. “

The 2020 edition of Glastonbury was also canceled in response to the epidemic, which is now approaching its full-year mark in terms of large-scale social distance measures and a direct stop in the music industry. Last year, many festival organizers and other industry leaders looked forward to returning to somewhat semi-normal in 2021.
And once vaccine distribution has really begun, the complete cessation of festivals and tours still seems to be unlikely anytime soon.
