Gilgit: Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly will meet its new Speaker and Deputy Speaker today (Thursday) after 4 pm.
On Wednesday, the newly elected members of the GB Legislative Assembly took oath. They will elect a new speaker and deputy speaker.
Amjad Hussain Zaidi of PTI is against Ghulam Muhammad of the opposition for the post of Speaker, while Nazir Ahmed has been nominated by PTI for the post of Deputy Speaker and Rehmat Khaliq has been nominated by the Opposition.
The PTI holds 22 of the 33 seats in the GB Legislative Assembly.
