Barcelona legend Gerard Pique was quick to react after seeing the Catalan giants crowned La Liga champions on Thursday night.
Hansi Flick’s style beat Espanyol 2-0 at the RCDE Stadium to seal top spot thanks to goals from Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez.
“What a pleasure” – Pique was quick to post on social media after watching his beloved Barca win the title at the home of their local rivals.
The victory means that Barcelona have done a league and cup double this season in Flick’s first full campaign in charge and also scooped the Spanish Super Cup too.
A hard-fought game was won in the second half when Yamal scored an absolute golazo to make it 1-0.
Yamal was then involved again when Leandro Cabrera was sent off for intentionally hitting out at the teenager late on.
Yet it was Fermin Lopez who had the final say. The substitute was put through on goal by Yamal and fired past Joan Garcia to seal the title.
