Galaxy devices get new AI features in One UI 7 – here’s the list

Samsung has officially set the date for its next major Galaxy update – One UI 7 – with the rollout starting in the first week of March. With One UI 7, the Galaxy AI suite is adding some new features, but Samsung has confirmed that not all of the new additions will be available across all devices.

One UI 7 is mainly a big visual update for Samsung’s Android skin, but it’s also bringing some new features too, mostly around AI. One of Samsung’s main additions is the “Now Bar,” which can provide real-time updates from select notifications (including Google Maps and Google Sports Scores). There are also a ton of enhancements to existing Galaxy AI features within the update.

However, Samsung says that not all of its new Galaxy AI features in One UI 7 will be available on every device. Rather, things will vary depending on what smartphone or tablet you own.

Luckily, there’s already a breakdown available. Let’s take a look.

New Galaxy AI features in One UI 7

In a post announcing its One UI 7 rollout, Samsung details seven new AI features coming with the update. These include:

  • Now Bar: Real-time updates on lock screen for select apps
  • AI Select: Adaptive functionality when selecting on-screen content
  • Writing Assist: Summarize or generate text when selecting text/text box
  • Drawing Assist: Combine text and sketch/image prompts to generate images
  • Audio Eraser: Remove unwanted sounds in videos
  • Google Gemini integration: Side-button press to access Gemini
  • Natural language search in Settings: Prompts such as “my eyes are tired” will find associated settings

All of these features debuted on the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, alongside “Now Brief,” an AI-powered daily summary tool which Samsung has not yet expanded beyond the Galaxy S25.

What features are available on my Galaxy device?

The majority of Samsung’s new features will be available across all Galaxy devices with One UI 7 – at least in this initial batch – but Audio Eraser and natural language search in Settings are both a bit restricted. Here’s how it breaks down.
