At least 3,377 new coronavirus infections were reported in Pakistan on Tuesday, the first time since April 5 that less than 4,000 cases have been recorded in the country in a single day.
According to the National Command Operations Center (NCOC), there were 3,953 new coronavirus infections in Pakistan on April 5.
The number of active cases is 86,151, while the nationwide recovery is increasing to 733,062 while the positive rate of corona virus cases is 8.9%.
Since the outbreak, 834,146 cases have been confirmed in the country.
The death toll in the country rose to 18,310 from about 161 new deaths, with Punjab having the highest number of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
So far, 8,683 people have died in Punjab, 4,678 in Sindh, 3,423 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 239 in Balochistan, 693 in Islamabad, 487 in Azad Kashmir and 107 in GB. ۔
