Flyers Agree to Terms With Goaltender Dan Vladar


The Philadelphia Flyers announced today they have agreed to terms with goaltender Dan Vladar on a two-year contract worth an annual average value (AAV) of $3.35M, according to General Manager Daniel Briere.

Vladar, 27 (8/20/1997), spent last season with the Calgary Flames where he went 12-11-6 and secured two shutouts in 30 regular season games. He also had a 2.80 goals against average (GAA) and .898 save percentage.

He was drafted by the Boston Bruins in 2015, in the third round, 75th overall, and has gone on to play parts of five seasons in the NHL including his rookie season with the Bruins (2020-21), and four seasons full time with Calgary (2021-25). The 6-foot-5, 209-pound goaltender owns a 49-34-16 record in 105 career-NHL games. Vladar has also suited up in two playoff games in his career.

The netminder spent five seasons in the American Hockey League (AHL), all with the Providence Bruins. He had a 36-26-13 record with a 2.33 GAA and .917 save percentage.

A native of Prague, Czechia, Vladar has represented his nation on the world stage six times. He most recently appeared at the 2025 World Championship for Czechia where helped the team to a sixth-place finish, falling short in the semi-final. The netminder won all three of the games he played in owning a 1.09 goals-against average and .951 save percentage.
