The local participants are Hali Anderson, Kendrick-Juliaetta; Hannah Mortensen, Potlatch; Izzy Rasmussen, Moscow; Kadynce Scott, Lewiston; and Sophia Tibbals, Troy. They won their school competition to advance to the state event.
The state program will be held at the Idaho Falls Civic Center. The first preliminary begins at 6 p.m. PDT tonight, followed by the second preliminary at 9 a.m. PDT Saturday and the finals, top 10 and winner announced at 6 p.m. PDT Saturday.
