We were previously told that Elena and the Switch 2 port of Street Fighter 6 were set to be released on June 5, 2025 — this Thursday. However, it turns out that this is technically only true for Japan.
Capcom has revealed that, due to time zone differences, Elena and the Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition of the game are actually set to be released a day early for North America. In other words, we only have three days of waiting ahead of us instead of four days.
Of course, a patch will need to be pushed out in order to make Elena available to download then. While it hasn’t been confirmed outright, it stands to reason that the Season 3 balance patch should also be made available then.
This means that we should be getting the full list of adjustments being made very soon. Although Capcom has revealed a few universal adjustments, they’ve clearly put forth an effort to keep the individual character changes a secret for now.
The Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition package includes every character from Season 1 and Season 2 (Rashid, A.K.I., Ed, Akuma, M. Bison, Terry Bogard, Mai Shiranui and Elena), the four stages from Season 1 and Season 2, as well as colors 3-10 for Outfit 1 for the 18 characters of the base roster.
Based on how the reveal happened for Street Fighter 6 Season 2, we feel there’s a very strong possibility of Season 3 getting revealed the day after Elena’s release (on June 5) as the Summer Game Fest 2025 will be starting then.
Capcom has yet to reveal the exact timing in which Elena and the Street Fighter 6 Years 1-2 Fighters Edition content patch are set to be released on June 4 for the North American region, but we imagine it will probably be later in the evening.
Regardless, be sure to stay tuned here at EventHubs as we continue to report on news regarding Elena, the Season 3 balance patch and Season 3 content.
