On Sunday, Dr. Sania Nishtar, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Social Security and Poverty Alleviation, said that all official messages of the Ehsan program are sent through number 8171 and any other sender is a scam.
The Ehsan Emergency Cash Program was launched in April 2020 under the government’s Social Security Initiative, Ehsan. The aim is to help vulnerable families face financial difficulties due to the ongoing corona virus crisis.
Dr. Nishtar is a key figure in the Rs. 203 billion program, which has been implemented across the country, including a stipend of Rs. 12,000, which has been distributed to millions of families.
“The message you have received is completely fake,” he told a text recipient, adding that a grant of Rs 33,500 had been accepted and that he should reach the cell phone number provided to make the claim.
Dr. Nishtar said that the recipients of such messages should also complain through SMS on 03351058050 and 03351058051.
