Drake all set to make history at Billboard Music Awards as The Weeknd, DaBaby top nominations

This year’s Billboard Music Awards are going to be special as Drake is ready to break his own record of all 27 wins. The final line-up of nominees has been released, with Canadian singers The Weekend and D-Baby leading the nominations.

Weekend received 16 nominations, including Top Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album, and Top Hot 100 Songs. After Saturday’s DBB, which topped the rap and streaming category with 11 nominations, including Top Rap Song, Top Collaboration, Top Streaming Song, Top Hot 100 Song, Top Rap Album, Top Rap Artist, Top Streaming Song Artist, Top Hot 100 Artists.

The third leader with 10 nominations is the late rapper Pop Smoke.

Other nominated artists in the music world include Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, and Billy Ellis. She is nominated for Dua Lipa and Megan Thi Stallion, as well as top female artists. BTS, Lady Gaga, Black Punk, Justin Bieber, Jenny Iko, and Machine Gun Kelly also found a place in the lineup of nominees.

As an artist with 27 wins so far, Drake is poised to make history with nominations in seven categories at this year’s awards, as he will break his own record.

The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will air live on May 23 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
