Yarde (27-3, 24 KOs) is a two-time light heavyweight title challenger. The Brit was stopped in both championship attempts — once by Sergey Kovalev in 2019 and again by Artur Beterbiev in 2023. Yarde was most recently in action in April when he edged Lyndon Arthur to pull ahead 2-1 in their rivalry.

Into the final quarter of this one, and Bam has dominated every round. But can he force the finish?
Nice attack from Puma receives a round of applause from the Argentine crowd. Counter left from Bam and DOWN GOES PUMA! And this is over!

Aggressive start from Puma in Round 8. He barraged at Rodriguez’s guard and emptied the tank. But Bam just let him throw until he got tired and then went straight back to what he was doing. Puma is having more success in this round, though. Bam is content to stay on the inside because he doesn’t feel Puma is a threat anymore, and he paid the price for that a couple of times. Robert Garcia told Bam in the corner afterward not to get too comfortable.
10-9 Rodriguez, 80-72 Rodriguez

Puma complained in the corner in between Rounds 6 and 7 that his nose was damaged.
Bam is really sinking in the body shots now in the second minute of this frame Puma is so tough and his guard is strong, so the mid-section may be the way to go for the stoppage.
Bam has outlanded Puma 150-73 in power punches.
Puma appears hurt to the body with a left hand at the two-minute mark. Bam continues to fire downstairs and search for a stoppage.
They should look at pulling Martinez out. He’s not going to win this.
10-9 Rodriguez, 70-63 Rodriguez

5 rounds done and 5-0 Bam, surely
Puma flurries in the opening minute. Nothing really landed clean, but it was eye-catching. Combination from Bam on the inside. Left hook counter from Puma partially lands, but he ate a few sharp shots before and after. This is so one-sided that it’s unentertaining, which is rare for a Bam fight. Left hands to the body from Bam are landing well from different angles. A combination had Puma off balance to end the sixth.
10-9 Rodriguez, 60-54 Rodriguez

Bam is landing with straight lefts early in the fourth. Martinez is firing back, but not landing clean. Hook goes Bam around the guard. He ate a left from Puma earlier. Puma connects to the mid-section. Bam fires back downstairs. Better round for Puma. Just as I say that, Puma is caught with some flush shots on the inside. Two-piece up close knocks the head back of the Argentine.
10-9 Rodriguez, 40-36 Rodriguez

Rodriguez’s angles are brilliant. It’s confusing Puma massively, and all he can do is keep punching and hope to hit something. Bam is connecting frequently with body shots and uppercuts on the inside. Puma has a tight guard and so isn’t being hurt with these yet, but they will eventually catch up with him. Left from Bam backs Puma up momentarily, but Puma comes straight back, and he walks into a body punch. Terrific right-hand off an angle. Nice flurry from Bam. Dominant!
10-9 Rodriguez, 30-27 Rodriguez

A pair of rights from Puma pushes Bam back early in Round 2. Bam needs to keep his guard up. Nice left downstairs from Bam. Combination from Bam on the inside. He is so comfortable making Puma miss up close with fancy footwork and coming back with visually pleasing punches. Short hook on the inside from Bam. A pair of strong lefts from Bam back Martinez onto the ropes. Bam is hammering the mid-section.
10-9 Rodriguez, 20-18 Rodriguez

“Bam” and “Puma” are two action fighters, but they will do well to better the action Mason and Noakes delivered.
It’s another southpaw-orthodox battle, with Bam, the southpaw, against “Puma,” the Argentine. Puma was hurt by a body shot early in the second minute. Bam looked to follow up but was caught by a looping right. Left from Bam lands. Martinez is bringing the pressure in the early stages of this one. Nice right hook off an angle for Bam. Body shot goes Bam. Exciting opener.
10-9 Rodriguez.

Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez, the WBC and WBO champion, battles Fernando “Puma” Martinez, who owns the WBA title, in a three-belt unification.
Rodriguez (22-0, 15 KOs), Uncrowned’s No. 5 pound-for-pound boxer, is a two-division unified world champion. He unified at super flyweight in his previous contest, stopping Phumelele Cafu this past July.
Argentina’s Martinez (18-0, 9 KOs) held the IBF title from 2022 to 2024. He defeated Kazuto Ioka in 2024 to unify the WBA and IBF belts, but was forced to vacate the IBF title, so he could rematch Ioka. Martinez beat Ioka by unanimous decision again this past May to retain his WBA crown.

Good combination from Noakes to open the final stanza. Uppercut from Mason connects. Combination from Mason again might’ve hurt Noakes. Mason is probably ahead, but he’s going for the KO regardless. Mason is working on the inside. Noakes will fire back, but the shots don’t have the same impact. Noakes is hurt downstairs again in the final minute. WHAT A FIGHT! We will go to the scorecards.

We’re into the championship rounds, and this is a real old-school championship war.
Mike Coppinger has Abdullah Mason 98-92 up. Mason is definitely winning this fight, though it could be closer than the 98-92 Coppinger offers. DAZN’s Fanzone has Mason 96-94 in front.
Mason is doing a better job of moving in this round and fighting behind his jab. Noakes won’t let him off the hook, though, and is landing body shots and hooks on the inside, still. Body work from Noakes is having success. Right hand from Noakes finds the target. They are trading power punches in the final few seconds. The crowd is LOVING this one!
10-9 Noakes, 106-103 Mason

The body punches are hurting Noakes. Right-hand counter from Noakes catches Mason. HARD left from Mason crushes onto Noakes’ face. Right-hand body shot, and Noakes is BADLY HURT! Mason is going for the finish. Big moment for him.

Mason begins Round 9 just how he finished Round 8 — with a hard body shot. Mason backs Noakes up again. Right hooks and left hands were swarming in. Noakes is feeling the punches more now, while Mason is still strong. One-two for Noakes lands. A harder left hand from Mason is the answer, followed by a body punch. Nice body shot from Mason again on the inside as they continue to exchange. Mason has made this so much harder than it needs to be by neglecting his physical advantages, but in the final 30 seconds, he goes back to his jab and wins that portion of the round comfortably.
10-9 Mason, 87-84 Mason

Right-hook-left-hand connects for Mason on the inside early in the eighth. Mason is trading with Noakes, even though his corner told him to box. Body shot from Mason and Noakes might’ve been hurt there at the halfway point of Round 8. Noakes isn’t punching, but Mason hasn’t really picked up on it. Mason isn’t taking advantage of it. Brilliant uppercut to the solar plexus from Mason, and he continues to hammer the body. Noakes is backing up and taking punishment to the body.

This has been a great fight. Two undefeated big punchers are putting it all on the line for a world title, and it is delivering through six rounds.
Noakes seems to have troubled Mason to the body early in Round 7. Just after Mason had his best frame in the sixth. So many ebbs and flows in this one. Left-hook-right-hand from Noakes connects. Mason goes to the body and finds a hook around the guard. Brilliant left uppercut for Mason on the inside. Mason now unloads with some huge power punches. Noakes is backed up and HURT! What a fight, man!

Good lead hand work from Mason to open the fifth frame. Mason was told in his corner to just box Noakes, instead of trying to fight. “It’s so easy, I promise you,” the corner told him.
Left hand from Mason lands. And another one connects. Noakes seemed to have been wobbled from a jab. Left hand counter on the inside for Mason. Hard body shot connects for Mason. Now, a left upstairs. Mason is having a really good stanza.
