ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Thursday said that China would send the first consignment of the vaccine to Pakistan by January 31, 2021, in which he termed it as “in good faith”.
Speaking to reporters here in the federal capital, Qureshi said: “Pakistan has had fruitful talks with China on obtaining the corona virus vaccine.
“China has in good faith promised to send 500,000 doses of the CoV-19 vaccine to Pakistan,” he said, adding that Beijing would send more by February 2021.
The Foreign Minister praised the National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) for “doing a great job during the epidemic” and commended the patients of Covid 19 for their courage in the fight against the deadly virus.
“Pakistan has successfully battled the corona virus [pandemic], ”He added.
