PARIS: After the French government vetoed the deal, Canadian convenience store chain Chauchard has reportedly taken out billions of euros from the supermarket giant Carrefour.

Talks on a ارب 16 billion (.5 19.5 billion) deal ended after a meeting between French Economy Minister Bruno Le Maire and Elaine Bouchard, the founder of Cochiardard, Bloomberg News reported, citing sources. French ministers insisted Friday they would not agree to the occupation because it could threaten food security, an even more important consideration due to the corona virus epidemic.

In an effort to reassure ministers, Bouchard had promised to invest billions in Carrefour, saying he would retain the job for two years and that the group would be listed on the Paris Stock Exchange, parallel to Canada, Bloomberg reported. Will be. Contacted by AFP, neither Kochhard nor Carrefour confirmed the information Friday evening. Although the talks have stalled, anonymous sources quoted by Bloomberg say talks could resume if the French government changes its position.

But on Friday, the French economy minister announced his choice to BMTV and RMC: “My position is polite, but clear and definite – no one.”
