Daredevil: Born Again showrunner Dario Scardapene recently took to Instagram to thank his teams for the Season 1 finale and also to tease that Season 2 of the Disney+/Marvel Studios series will premiere in March 2026. The second season is currently shooting.
“It’s all led up to this… Such a mix of emotions as we close out S1. So grateful for the cast, crew and studio for their confidence and indulgence. Biggest of thanks to Sana, Brad, Kevin, Lou, Aaron, Justin, Charlie, Vincent, Deb, Jon and the whole mad circus. And yeah, Season 2 March 2026,” wrote the showrunner on IG.
The Season 1 finale of Daredevil: Born Again dropped Tuesday night, and we’re left with Vincent D’Onofrio’s Mayor Fisk aka Kingpin squeezing his gangster grip on New York City as he and his wife Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer) try to create a separate city-state in the Red Hook port. Matt Murdock, back in the red get-up, swears to take the city back for the greater good of everybody. Old friends Karen (Deborah Ann Woll) and Frank Castle aka The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) assist Matt with his crusade.
Meanwhile, Dr. Glenn (Margarita Levieva) is easily swayed by Mayor Fisk as he names her the city’s head of mental health. This will only create an even bigger divide between Dr. Glenn and Matt in Season 2 romance-wise.
Separately from Daredevil: Born Again, Bernthal has a MCU Disney+ special of The Punisher in the works that he is co-writing with filmmaker Reinaldo Marcus Green.
