IDAHO FALLS – The applicants for a newly created magistrate judge position in Bonneville County have been announced.
According to a news release from the Seventh Judicial District, the Magistrate’s Commission will meet in Bonneville County in late July to select a magistrate judge to fill the position, approved to begin after July 1, 2025.
According to Tammie Whyte, Seventh Judicial District Trial Court Administrator, seven applications have been received for the position.
The applicants include:
- Jason R. Chandler – Deputy Attorney General, Office of the Attorney General of the State of Idaho, Blackfoot.
- Scott J. Davis – Deputy Bonneville County Prosecuting Attorney, Idaho Falls.
- Dillon S. Erickson – Attorney with Hall Angell & Associates, Idaho Falls.
- W. Forrest Fischer – Attorney with Moulton Law Office, Driggs.
- Michael A. Kirkham – Idaho Falls City Attorney, Idaho Falls.
- Penelope North-Shaul – Deputy State Public Defender, Bannock County Office, Pocatello.
- Jacob B. Workman – Idaho Legal Aid Services Managing Attorney, Idaho Falls.
According to the release, evaluation questionnaires on the applicants will be sent to attorneys statewide.
Questionnaires for public comment may be obtained from the County Clerk’s Office of any District Court in the Seventh Judicial District, or the Seventh Judicial District Trial Court Administrator’s office, located at 605 N.
