In the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, this shadow epidemic is on the rise and we need a global collective effort to stop it. CoVID-19 issues continue to be pressured, such as health services, domestic violence shelters and helplines. More needs to be done to prioritize the focus on violence against women in COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.

As countries implement lockdown measures to curb the spread of the corona virus, violence against women, especially domestic violence, has intensified. ?
