Former UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland is in hot water after sparking a post-fight brawl at Tuff-N-Uff 145.
UFC fan favorite Sean Strickland is a fighter who is ready to throw hands at any time. Ask UFC middleweight titleholder Dricus du Plessis, who got into it with Strickland while sitting Octagonside at UFC 296.
Strickland, who hasn’t fought since a unanimous decision loss to du Plessis at UFC 312, has been called out by the likes of Israel Adesanya and others for his next Octagon booking. As of this writing, the UFC matchmakers haven’t announced anything regarding Strickland’s next fight.
Strickland’s UFC return timeline might undergo a significant delay after the former champion sparked a post-fight brawl at Tuff-N-Uff 145.

Strickland and fellow middleweight Chris Curtis cornered one of their teammates, Miles Hunsinger, at Tuff-N-Uff 145 on Sunday in Las Vegas. Hunsinger was making his return to the cage after a three-year hiatus, stemming from a knockout loss to Demarques Jackson at Eagle FC 44.
Hunsinger and Luis Hernandez helped kick off the action at Tuff-N-Uff 145 in a matchup between two middleweight contenders. After a back-and-forth first round, chaos ensued in Round 2 as Hernandez had several mid-fight conversations with Hunsinger’s corner.
Hernandez submitted Hunsinger with a standing guillotine, before motioning towards Curtis and Strickland with an X-rated gesture. Hernandez then shook Hunsinger’s hand as Strickland and Curtis ran into the cage, with Strickland throwing a big punch to Hernandez’s head before security personnel intervened.

Strickland was quickly escorted out of the arena after Hunsinger’s loss. As of this writing, the UFC hasn’t provided public comments on the incident.
This is far from the first time that Strickland has sparked controversy outside of the UFC Octagon. He’s ruffled many feathers with some of his questionable claims posted to his social media accounts, and has gotten into it with several Las Vegas residents in road rage-related incidents.
Strickland could potentially face penalties from the Nevada State Athletic Commission, who sanctioned Tuff-N-Uff 145, as well as potential criminal charges if Hernandez chooses to go that route.

Strickland is looking to get back on track inside the cage after two title fight losses to du Plessis. In between the decision losses to the UFC middleweight champion, Strickland defeated Paulo Costa on the scorecards at UFC 302.
UFC CEO Dana White will likely have a lot to say about Strickland’s actions during his next media availability. White has repeatedly questioned Strickland for his verbal and physical behavior outside of the Octagon during the middleweight’s career.
Curtis hasn’t competed since a head kick knockout loss in January, and is winless in four of his last five fights.
