One of the most exciting weekends on the college football calendar has arrived. It’s rivalry week, which means the end of the regular season and one last chance (for most programs not playing in their respective conference title games) to make one last impression on the College Football Playoff Selection Committee before the 12-team bracket is released next weekend.
The fun begins in Ann Arbor when No. 1 Ohio State faces arch-rival No. 15 Michigan in one of the best rivalries in sports. The reigning national champions are in a prime position to reach the Big Ten title game and set up a showdown against Indiana next weekend. However, Michigan could throw a wrench into the CFP race with a win over the Buckeyes.
Speaking of the Big Ten, reigning conference champion No. 6 Oregon will face Washington at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS. Also in the same window, No. 14 Vanderbilt takes on in-state foe No. 19 Tennessee.
Another big-time rivalry game will take place later in the day when No. 10 Alabama faces Auburn in the Iron Bowl. Alabama is in position to reach the CFP for the first time in the Kalen DeBoer era with a win, but the Tigers could play spoiler with an upset over their in-state rival.
CBS Sports will be here every step of the way to update you with the latest scores, highlights and storylines throughout the evening. All times Eastern
