EUGENE, Ore. – Banana Ball is coming to Eugene. The Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals will meet in a pair of games in Autzen Stadium on June 27-28, 2026.

Banana Ball is an entertaining, fan-focused variation of baseball played by the Savannah Bananas and their associated teams. The team started the sport in 2016 with the goal of making baseball more entertaining to a broader audience. Fan involvement is a key component in Banana Ball which includes fans recording outs when catching a foul ball.
It also has a set of unique rules that include batters stealing first base, with no walks allowed and batters being required to run on a ball in the dirt. The experience goes beyond the game itself, with players in unique uniforms and a festive atmosphere with a strict two-hour time limit.
The Savannah Bananas played games in 40 cities in 2025, including three NFL stadiums and 17 MLB stadiums. Their first NFL stadium game was at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Fla., where they played in front of a sold-out crowd of 65,000. On April 26, the Bananas and the Party Animals played a game in front of 81,000 people at Clemson University’s Memorial Stadium.
