The AFC East is in the “Sunday Night Football” crosshairs as the Buffalo Bills host the New England Patriots to wrap up Sunday’s action in Week 5.
Buffalo entered prime time not only as the odds-on favorite to win the division for a sixth straight season, but as arguably the class of the NFL, riding a perfect 4-0 record into this matchup. That hype didn’t translate to a smooth first half against the rival Patriots, with Buffalo losing a pair of fumbles and committing eight penalties in the first two quarters alone.
As for the Patriots, who are 2-2 on the year, the arrow is pointing up for the franchise. That’s largely thanks to the second-year leap Drake Maye is enjoying under center. The signal-caller remained on a roll late in the first half to set up a last-second field goal that gave New England a 6-3 advantage.
Can the Pats keep it up to pull off a prime-time upset of the Bills? Or is Josh Allen due for a big-play comeback? Either way, this one’s must-see TV. Stay tuned here for live updates and analysis.
